Our client, a unique and growing charity based in West London, have provided clear, free, impartial advice to older people and their families for over 150 years. They are now recruiting an experienced Social Care Adviser, to provide specialist guidance and advice to internal staff and volunteers, to ensure that all information and advice service delivery is accurate.

As a Specialist Adviser, you will work within a small team of other specialist advisers, providing technical guidance, strategic advice and case law to internal staff and volunteers in a proactive and timely manner. You will work across the wider organisation to identify training and technical advice needs, and will develop and deliver training, briefings and other technical resources as required. You will continuously develop and maintain a working knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks (with a specific focus on the Care Act 2014), and will support the Advice Manager in conducting comprehensive file reviews and other quality checks in accordance with organisational quality frameworks.

To apply for this role you must have substantial knowledge of legislative and regulatory frameworks, national and local practice and how it interacts with a range of issues affecting older people. You must have demonstrable experience of working in an information or advice capacity, providing services to quality standards, and must have exceptional communication skills. You must have experience of writing, checking and peer reviewing a range of information and advice materials, and of analysing informative consumer content to identify its impact. Overall, you will be a strong communicator, passionate about ensuring that information and advice services are delivered to the highest possible standards for the benefit of older service users.
