The Public Engagement department strategically combines fundraising, major partnerships, campaigns, and communications to raise funds and create a shift in public opinion on international children’s development and rights issues by mobilising the income, resources and forces that are needed to support our work. Our Individual Giving Unit recruits, retains and develops the support of individuals and households in the UK. You will manage supporter recruitment campaigns across a range of media and channels, including Direct Dialogue (Face to Face), DRTV, telephone and inserts. This will include briefing and managing relationships with account teams at media, creative, fundraising and call-handling agencies, and seeking continuous improvement of campaigns though research, testing and evaluation. You will also maximise income of supporters through optimising response and minimising campaign costs, and will work with colleagues to ensure new supporters and enquirers receive the best possible experience.

You will have experience of working in a fundraising/marketing environment, specifically in direct marketing and of managing campaigns for acquisition direct marketing appeals across different channels. You will be able to evaluate and amend copy and creative to ensure best possible results, applying your in-depth understanding of the fundraising environment and your knowledge of international development issues.

The deadline for applications is 9:00am on Monday 26 November 2018

Interviews will take place on Monday 3 December 2018

Due to the nature of our work with children, we follow rigorous child protection policies and procedures in our recruitment process. As a result, some of our roles are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from joining us as an employee or volunteer; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences.
