Through global collaboration Sightsavers could be just years away from eliminating neglected tropical diseases such as blinding trachoma, it is truly a historic moment in time to join the organisation.
The Communications Intern will support the NTDs Team to develop and deliver high-profile, integrated communications projects and assets, as well as providing excellent administrative assistance and setting up key project meetings for communications projects. This is a great opportunity for someone to join at an exciting time and to gain professional experience within the communications and development sector.
Supporting the NTDs Communications Team will involve research for communications initiatives and aiding in the creation of communications content by developing communications materials and social media outreach, tracking and reporting on results of communications activity, following up on progress with internal teams and external agencies, minute taking in meetings and general administrative duties.
The ideal candidate will have a degree or significant interest in the field and/or have related work experience. The role requires a hard working individual with good organisation skills and the ability to work to weekly deadlines. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of communications from the research phase right through to developing content. Experience in using image-editing tools is desirable, but not essential.
