Support Worker

Our client is a national charity that's been supporting people with learning disabilities since 1962. They put the people they support at the centre of everything they do and use their experience to work in partnership with them to provide personalised services to more than 2,500 people.

The organisation is currently recruiting Support Workers to join their House Service based in Bidford-on-Avon. It is a registered care service that can accommodate up to nine people. Based in a rural setting, with a Day Centre, it is just a short walk to the local village facilities and amenities.

Position: Support Worker
Location: Bidford on Avon, Worcestershire (Commutable from Stratford-upon-Avon, Redditch, Worcester, Evesham, Leamington Spa and surrounding areas)
Hours: Full & part-time available, 20 to 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Up to £8.12 per hour

About the role:

Our client provides support in all areas of individual's lives from personal care, home activities and accessing leisure activities.

The organisation's Support Workers support individuals to ensure they can participate in as much as possible, for example you may be required to support with; art therapy, sensory experiences, shopping, hydrotherapy, music therapy, visiting health professionals, relaxation, concerts, cinema, holidays and other things individuals may like to experience.

Hours for this position will range from 7.30am to 10.30pm on a rota basis, they do require staff to undertake sleep-in duty on a rota basis for which you will be paid an additional amount. This is to be available if the waking night support worker requires assistance.

You don't need experience of support work or any special qualifications for this job, what matters most is your positive attitude to life and your desire to support people with learning disabilities.
