Leading Children's Charity with exciting brand and marketing campaigns and offices in London and Watford

You will be working within a highly ambitious directorate delivering a new brand and five-year strategy, you must be an inspirational copywriter with a highly commercial approach. To succeed, you will value getting to grips with brand tone of voice, and how to tell our story with the authenticity that speaks to the consumer. This takes someone who can inspire confidence in the people we work with, and combine exceptional narrative development and storytelling skills, with extensive knowledge and experience of what works across multi-channel communications.

Description

  • By providing straightforward advice to enable all parts of the organisation to deliver the brand tone of voice and copy style across multi-channel marketing communications; effectively engaging target audiences to enlist greater support for our work.

  • By leading on commissioning and directing outsourced creative content producers (including creative agencies, copywriters, proof readers, translation agencies, or others required), to deliver the brand narrative, tone of voice and copywriting house style. Includes managing and maintaining the copy, editing, proofing and translation Preferred Supplier List (PSL), identifying gaps, sourcing and negotiating terms with new suppliers to keep formats fresh and inspirational.

  • By leading on copy development, editing and proofing as part of the creative services forward planning and workflow production process, demonstrating extensive knowledge and expertise across audiences and multi-channel communications to deliver a coherent and compelling brand experience.

  • By leading on key messages and copy governance, policing activity to ensure facts and figures are accurate with credible sources accredited.

  • By managing stakeholder groups delivering high-profile charity publications (such as Annual Report, impact reports, etc) to meet shared strategic objectives; including project management, agency fee negotiation, scheduling activity and monitoring cost and quality.

  • By leading on monitoring and evaluating campaign messaging to drive effectiveness and brand tracking research, regularly reporting KPIs.

  • By maintaining up-to-date key messages, brand guidelines, the case study story bank (including permissions), and campaign assets on the brand hub, including maintaining brand content across digital channels (internal and external).

  • By assisting the Creative Services Manager with finance and resource management, continually improving systems and processes to drive greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • By managing situations where the brand guidelines are challenged, working proactively and positively with teams to achieve an agreed outcome.

  • By leading on championing the brand story working with story gatherers (integrated content), new starters (inductions) and orchestrating a brand champions programme across the UK; facilitating workshops to coach teams on story gathering techniques, storytelling, tone of voice, creative execution and legal compliance requirements.

Profile

  • Successful track record as a commercial copywriter, editor or journalist.

  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal - and proven ability to work successfully at all levels.

  • Ability to develop strong relationships and build a network across internal clients, agencies and external partners.

  • Ability to plan and develop highly impactful content strategies, including case study gathering.

  • Proven project management skills and a good understanding of copy requirements
    within a charity.

  • Financial management and business case development.

  • Ability to prioritise, manage and co-ordinate a large number of projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to continually develop expertise, innovative approaches and best practice.

  • Ability to drive forward our goal of being a digital leader.
