Job Details

I'm working exclusively with a leading national children's charity to find their next Public Affairs and Campaigns Officer.

Splitting your time between Essex and London, your responsibilities will be varied, but with a broad focus on public affairs, whether drafting correspondence and speeches, organising and coordinating events (such as APPGs) or preparing briefings for the Chief Executive. The charity is keen to develop its employees' careers, and therefore encourages active discussion and interaction both between team members and teams within the wider organisation. For instance, you will have the chance to shadow senior colleagues, and will also be given the opportunity to take time out of the ordinary 9-5 to study a certain subject, for example: in a nutshell, the charity aims to develop its employees as thought leaders.

Whether you are currently a Public Affairs Officer, a Policy Assistant or similar, you must be a values-driven, mission-focused professional who is looking to kick-start their career in policy, public affairs and campaigns on a national scale, with the ultimate goal of benefiting the lives of children across the UK.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a charity that offers flexible working hours and potential days working from home: there is also the possibility of working part time. This position pays 26,966 - 34,259 p.a. plus an Outer London Weighting of 1,885. If you are interested in applying for this position and would like an informal chat, please send your CV to harry.marven@harrishill.co.uk . Please note that only suitable candidates will be contacted.
