We have an opportunity for an Events Fundraiser within our Fundraising Team.

Events Fundraiser
Location: Lymington
Salary: £24,326 pa plus £1,630 out of hours allowance
Hours: 37.5 per week (although some flexibility may be possible)

You will be responsible for the promotion and delivery of our annual programme of fundraising events for the hospice. You will ensure that all aspects of the management and organisation of these events are delivered to a consistently high standard and income and event participant targets are met.

Within this role you will work with volunteers to assist in the delivery of events and to manage the ongoing relationship with them as well as internal/external stakeholders. You will create and maintain up-to-date records and administration systems, ensuring accurate records are kept within the database and maintain efficient filing of information where appropriate.

In addition you will work in partnership across the Fundraising team on any aspects of fundraising when required as directed by the Head of Fundraising and stay up to date with fundraising events and innovation across the charity sector. 

We are looking for someone who ideally has previous experience in busy events, sales, marketing or fundraising environment, together with project planning and marketing skills.

Excellent people and communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to this role and the ability to build good relationships both internally and externally.  Ability to work on own initiative, manage challenging priorities and work to deadlines is also vital to this role.

A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is a requirement as is a full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle, insured for business use.  Working hours include evenings and weekends so flexibility is required.
