We have an opportunity for a Community and Corporate Fundraiser within our Fundraising Team.

Community and Corporate Fundraiser
Salary: £23,459 pa plus £1,630 out of hours allowance
Hours: 37.5 per week

This is a new role which will combine building and maintaining strong relationships with our SME’s supporters across the region to develop fundraising initiatives and sponsorship and working with the local community to support them in a mixed portfolio of fundraising events for the hospice.  The postholder will also be responsible for recruiting and managing volunteers to form Volunteer Fundraising Groups in the local area helping to finance the Hospice on an ongoing basis.

In addition you will work in partnership across the Fundraising team on any aspects of fundraising when required as directed by the Head of Fundraising and stay up to date with fundraising events and innovation across the charity sector. 
Excellent people and communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to this role and the ability to build good relationships both internally and externally.  Ability to work on own initiative, manage challenging priorities and work to deadlines is also vital to this role.

A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is a requirement as is a full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle, insured for business use.  Working hours include evenings and weekends so flexibility is required.
