Operations Administrator - Temporary

Our client a large and well-established disability charity are looking for a strong all-round administrator on a temporary basis to support for 2-3 months during a busy period for the charity.

Key relationships:

Internal The post holder works closely with colleagues across Services and Support

External The post holder works closely with people affected and volunteers

Key accountabilities:

The Administration Officer will support delivery of the Society's Services and Support strategy to deliver the charities strategic goals by:

1) Business plan implementation


  • a) Being main point of contact and administrative support
  • b) Arranging meetings, training and other events
  • c) Ensuring information across the Services and Support department is consistent, up to date, accurate and easily retrievable

  • Person specification

    Qualifications

    • A levels/equivalent qualification or
    • Relevant professional experience, which demonstrates equivalent academic skills
    • Evidence of continuous professional development

    Experience

    • Experience of working in an office environment
    • Experience of co-ordinating logistics for events

    Knowledge and skills

    • Demonstrable commitment to collaborative team work
    • Demonstrable commitment to inclusive working, ensuring equality and valuing diversity
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Good organisational and workload management skills
    • Self-motivated and willing to work from own initiative
    • Excellent IT skills, in particular Microsoft Office, database skills desirable
