Are you a senior business development professional with a strong track record of building successful partnerships across health and social care, especially in the mental health and substance use fields? Are you a successful leader who can inspire and motivate teams to success?  Can you spot gaps in the market and lead on developing innovative new ways of working? If so, you may be just who we are looking for!  We need your expertise and experience to drive forward our exciting strategic vision and to achieve our ambitious growth targets.

We are Recovery Focus, a new group of expert charities with the shared aim of inspiring individual recovery nationwide. Between us we’ve a track record of more than 200 years of developing and running personalised services that work with people with mental ill health, addiction and other complex needs to achieve their ambitions.

Richmond Fellowship is looking for a new Head of Partnerships to join them to help achieve our ambitious plans to grow the group sustainably into the future.  Whoever joins us will be working across all group partners too, not just Richmond Fellowship, in this key leadership position that can be flexibly based in England.

This wide-ranging role offers a great opportunity to oversee the successful delivery of our group development strategy by bringing strong leadership and effective management to the recently created partnerships team. As well as establishing strong internal relationships across three regions via annual programmes of activity around retenders, business proposals and property developments, we’ll look to you to develop relationships with local authorities, health, third and private sector organisations alike. You’ll also be responsible for providing a programme of coaching to drive up the quality around partnerships development internally and taking the lead in identifying gaps in the market and helping to develop new service models. In short, you’ll be pivotal to the ongoing success of our partnerships team.  You’ll also be a member of our Senior Leadership Team, offering leadership across the group.

As well as a track record of successful partnership negotiations that have led to strong and effective contractual arrangements, you have experience of leading, managing and motivating teams and developing systems and processes that improve delivery. You also have a good understanding of tendering and procurement processes and are comfortable analysing and interpreting complex information and data. The ability to establish strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and negotiate with tact and diplomacy is important too, as are excellent time management skills and a flair for setting, reviewing and managing budgets. What’s more, you're resilient yet flexible, committed to delivering winning bids and happy to travel nationally in order to get the job done.

In return, you can expect some great benefits, including 25 days' annual leave plus statutory bank holidays and a contributory pension scheme after a qualifying period.

If this sounds like the role for you then please apply via CV and supporting statement in which you clearly set out how you meet the person specification.  For an informal chat about the job, please contact Mary Wishart, Group Director Business Development, on 07920 087611.

So, get inspired today. Visit our website and take the first steps towards a more fulfilling career.
