Job Details

Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

Soccer Aid for Unicef brings together two teams of celebrities and football legends for the biggest celebrity charity football match in the calendar, broadcast live on ITV. The event started in 2006 and has taken place every two years since, raising more than £30million for Unicef UK and providing much needed support for children in danger.

We are currently seeking a Finance officer to support this critical work.  In this role, you will lead on the financial management of the annual Soccer Aid for Unicef campaign. This will include budgeting, reforecasting and reporting to provide regular and accurate financial information to the project team and senior stakeholders. You will ensure that processes are in place to support such financial reporting and that they are operating smoothly, including working closely with external partners involved in delivering Soccer Aid for Unicef.

To succeed, you will be CCAB qualified or working towards a qualification, with experience of budgeting and forecasting and preparing financial information. You will have excellent communication skills, able to prepare and present reports to a variety of audiences. We are looking for experience of financial bookkeeping and accounting under UK general accepted accounting principles, as well as statutory accounts preparation under UK accounting standards.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on Unicef UK’s biggest fundraising campaign, delivering much needed support for children in danger.

Act now and visit www.unicef.org.uk/jobs to apply online.

Closing date: 5pm, Monday 19 November 2018.

Interview date: Friday 30 November 2018.

We welcome applications from a diverse range of people, respecting and drawing on different perspectives, skills, experience and knowledge.

The successful candidate will be required to apply for a criminal records check. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.

We only accept online applications as this saves us money, making more funds available for us to help ensure children’s rights. CVs will not be accepted.

If you require support in completing the online form or an application form in an alternative format, please contact Supporter Care on 0300 330 5580 during office hours.

If you do not hear from us within 14 days of the closing date, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please note that we only provide feedback to shortlisted candidates.
