Are you the person to lead our Philanthropy team?

The Head of Philanthropy is vital to us in achieving our mission to eradicate type 1 diabetes. Innovative research into type 1 diabetes is developing some of the most advanced technological treatments in healthcare, but in the UK health inequalities are rising as a result of a lack of access to technology.

In this newly created role you will lead on the development and delivery of the philanthropic giving strategy and further develop our fundraising programmes aimed at current and new major donors.

You’ll work closely with the CEO and Director of Research Partnerships in identifying key prospects and how they should be stewarded. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of major donors, nurturing relations and securing five and six figure gifts.

Your experience will be vital in driving the future success of the fundraising strategy, particularly in relation to identifying new opportunities. You’ll have previous experience in delivering results and engaging with Major Donors and their networks. You’ll be an experienced philanthropy fundraiser and have previously managed a high performing team.

You will have excellent relationship building and entrepreneurial skills. You will also have superb written and verbal communication skills, be a skilled networker and have a thorough understanding of the UK philanthropy market.

In return we offer you flexible working, generous annual leave entitlement, season ticket or bike loan, employee assistance programme and a childcare voucher scheme. We have strong, positive values and friendly culture where we support you in developing your career aspirations.
