Therapeutic Residential Support Worker

Position: Therapeutic Residential Support Worker
Location: Reading & Bracknell
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 150 hours per month - shift patterns are typically 3pm to 11pm during term or 10am to 11pm (plus sleep-in shifts)
Salary: £18,000 to £24000 per annum based on experience and qualifications (plus up to £2,500 sleep-in allowance)

Our client is a specialist organisation working with male children/ young people who have histories of trauma, disrupted attachments and harmful sexual behaviour. They provide high quality residential care, education and therapeutic services designed to meet the individual needs of the young people. Abuse thrives in an atmosphere of secrecy. It is for this reason that the organisation adopts a policy of openness and equal communication between young people and staff.

They are looking for Therapeutic Residential Support Workers to provide excellent standards of individualised care, working to a shift pattern including weekends and sleeping in duties. Successful applicants will display a positive and resilient attitude. They will act as a role model to the children and young people and will uphold clear and consistent boundaries. They will display empathy, creativity and a sense of fun; and will have good written and verbal communication skills.

You may have experience of the following: Therapeutic Support Worker, Support Worker, Residential Support Worker, Care Staff, Young People, Residential Care Worker, Community Development, Mental Health, Challenging Behaviour, Social Worker, Community Services, Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, Charity, Charities, NFP, Not for Profit, Third Sector, etc.
