Genesis Research Trust (GRT), based at Imperial College London, is the largest collaboration of reproductive health researchers in the UK. It is the only charity of its kind to lie consistently at the heart of original leading-edge research investigating why and how things can go wrong with conception, pregnancy and birth; delivering real evidence-based results for medical treatments and outcomes of worldwide significance.

This role plays an important part of this small multi-disciplinary fundraising and communications team which delivers the funds to enable the charity to carry on its life enhancing work – helping women and their families through vital medical research.

The Corporate Partnerships Manager will be responsible for devising and implementing a programme of fundraising from the corporate sector working to agreed annual targets. You will engage and build relationships with both UK and international companies.  This will include obtaining corporate sponsors for priorities areas such as raising funds for studentships and fellowships linked to Imperial College. Also, our programme of exciting fundraising public challenges with local and international events, as well as partners for our long standing medical and education conferences run by the GRT Symposium Office.

The successful candidate will have a track record of strategic corporate fundraising, ideally with experience of business development and relationship management with first rate negotiation skills and an innovative approach to your work.

This is a great opportunity to join us. Not only are we on the cusp of several scientific breakthroughs  but also because we reach the 20th anniversary of our building in 2019; we have more than doubled staff numbers in the last 12 months as part of our growth plans and our distinguished trustees are supportive of fundraising. We are a small charity with the strong relationship to a top university which places us in a special position to be both flexible and successful.

In essence, this is a great opportunity for an experienced and ambitious corporate fundraising professional to achieve goals and join an inspiring organisation where you will have the chance to shape the charity’s corporate fundraising programme for the future. You will have a real impact on the wider charity and the many beneficiaries, i.e. the women and their families that our work helps through vital medical research.
