Job Title –  Development Manager (Part Time), Trenance Cottages

Salary –   £  14500   per annum, based on 60hours per month

Trenance Cottages Newquay are looking for a dynamic, self - motivating, creative, experienced development manager. 

Job Purpose – Develop and implement a strategy for the commercial and heritage  side  of “Trenance Cottages”. Seeking bold new opportunities for generating income and raising the profile of the Heritage Cottages.  Achieving a sustainable basis of operation.

Background

Trenance Cottages, a grade 2 listed building, have been renovated and extended with the help of several grants, including a large HLF contribution. The Heritage Cottages and Rose Cottage Function Room are managed by a board of volunteer trustees.

Also on site is a tea room and language school. Both contribute to the revenue of the trust.The Cottages have been open to the public since March 2015. Volunteers are stewards for the heritage rooms and there is a small gift shop in the reception.

Another important source of revenue are weddings, held in the function room

Funding – These posts are funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund for an  initial  two year period.

Subject to a 3 month probationary period.
