This is your opportunity to shine as a Charity & Corporate Account Manager for a leading tour operator and event management company who specialise in tailored national and international challenges in the charity and corporate sectors.

Charity Challenge is looking for a passionate individual to join the Sales, Marketing and Partnerships Team and to help take this exciting part of the business forward whilst providing exceptional customer service. You will have the ability to inspire, motivate and engage with both new and existing charity & corporate partners to take part in incredible adventures around the globe. You will have an enthusiastic and results-driven focus, excellent organisational skills, great attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to manage a varied workload.

Responsible for providing exceptional client support, delivering creative and innovative marketing solutions for clients and to engage and interact with their supporter base and beyond to maximise their fundraising potential together with retaining and growing our clients challenge events portfolio with Charity Challenge. You will also be a key liaison with the Operations Team in delivering a once-in-a-lifetime event experience for all involved.

THE ROLE

  • Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your charity and corporate accounts
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Help maximise sales and create growth across new and existing charity and corporate organisations through relationship development and tailored event products to meet client objectives
  • Produce proposals and presentations for charity and corporate clients in line with Charity Challenge brand guidelines
  • Supporting the clients with marketing and recruitment support and advice
  • Uploading your clients newly sold-in challenges to the website and ensuring the accuracy of client facing documentation and communications
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Understanding of cross-department dependencies and ability to work productively in support of all areas of the business

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Proven account management or other relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation, including management level
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • A sound understanding of marketing and means of identifying up to date market trends within the third sector and adventure travel industry
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Display a positive and enthusiastic work ethic and style and willingness to provide exceptional customer support and advice at all times
  • Passionate about adventure travel
  • Efficient use of Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to work independently and in a team

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM CHARITY CHALLENGE

We are a small business with a friendly office, full of people with passion for what they are doing. It is a lively and busy environment. We can promise that you will be challenged in your role!

Mon-Fri, 0900-1730hrs. You will be required to attend some of your client’s challenge events on weekends during the UK season (May - October)

24 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays), plus an extra day for each extra year that you work (up to maximum of 27 days)

Opportunity to travel overseas on a Charity Challenge trip to build knowledge and understanding of the challenge portfolio to maximise future sales and provide excellent client support
