Methodist Independent Schools Trust (MIST) Group Accountant Central London The Methodist Independent Schools Trust is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified person to join our small central team as Group Accountant.

With an annual turnover in excess of £100 million, MIST is one of the top 100 charities in UK by turnover and has overall responsibility for fourteen schools situated around England. Our schools educate over 6500 children and employ more than 1000 staff. MIST works closely with related Trusts with schools in the maintained sector bringing the combined reach of Methodist Schools to many more thousands of families.

The Group Accountant will take responsibility for financial reporting throughout the group and, working closely with the Finance Director (CFO) and finance staff in the schools, the successful candidate will ensure best practice accountancy and reporting across the Group and identify opportunities to achieve greater cost efficiencies and effectiveness. The Group Accountant will be based at MIST’s Head Office, conveniently situated in Marylebone Road, a short walk from Baker Street Station. There is a generous salary package offered (between £55,000 and £65,000 pa) with other benefits including medical insurance.

The closing date for applications is 3rd December 2018 and the successful candidate will take up the position as soon as possible thereafter and no later than 1st May 2019
