Are you a research professional who wants to make a real difference at one of the UK's leading charities?

If you’re naturally inquisitive and have experience conducting or commissioning qualitative and quantitative research, we have a fantastic opportunity to join the RNLI in the role of Customer Measurement and Research Officer.

You will play a pivotal role as part of a new programme of activity to put our customers and supporters at the heart of everything we do, by giving colleagues the insight they need to take decisions that drive loyalty and advocacy and ensure the sustainability of the RNLI.

Primarily working with a new team focusing on understanding and improving the customer experience, you will design, conduct and commission research projects that meet the requirements of clients across the charity.

You will need to be proactive, always customer-focused, and used to working on multiple projects at a time for a range of customers. An advocate for research within the RNLI, you will enhance the reputation of the team with your excellent analytical skills, high attention to detail, knowledge of different research methods and experience presenting findings and recommendations to a range of audiences.

This role would suit someone who has experience in a research team or with a research agency, who is keen for a new challenge and eager to help shape a new area of work. To be successful, you will need to be competent with MS Excel and Powerpoint, and will preferably have some experience with survey software (e.g. Survey Monkey). Ideally you will have some experience measuring and improving the customer experience and a good understanding of the charity sector or not-for-profit sector.
