Programme Manager / Partnership Manager (Charity)
Position: Programmes & Partnerships Manager
Location: Amersham, Buckinghamshire (accessible from London Underground - Metropolitan line and Chiltern mainline services)
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 36.5 hours per week (flexibility over working hours and pattern will be considered for suitable candidates including some remote working).
Salary: £32,000 to £34,000 per annum + excellent benefits
Are you inspired to bring hope and lasting change to some of the poorest and most marginalised people living in the Middle East, through education, healthcare and community development projects? Do you want to take the lead in managing and nurturing high-impact, locally owned projects delivered through Christian partner organisations, helping people of all faiths and none to free themselves from a life of poverty and injustice? Are you able to manage grant-funded international programmes through local partner organisations?
Our client is an international Christian charity with over 160 years’ experience helping people of all faiths and none to free themselves from a life of poverty and injustice. Their Christian partners in Egypt, Lebanon, Israel and Palestine run hospitals, clinics, schools and centres for people with disabilities. They provide support services for refugees, work for women’s empowerment, community development and supply humanitarian relief.
About the role:
Our client is looking to recruit a Programmes & Partnerships Manager to work within their close-knit programmes, partnerships and advocacy team to support, encourage and enable local Christian organisations. Walking and working with them as they deliver high-impact programmes to benefit communities in need of assistance - helping them to realise their God-given potential.
The role will require regular travel to the Middle East, approximately 6 to 8 weeks annually.
About you:
To succeed you will have strong programme management experience, demonstrating an ability to support the development of high-impact projects and analyse narrative and financial reports. You will work closely with local partners to monitor and evaluate project success and support their organisational development, ensuring accountability to both the end beneficiaries and their UK-based supporters.
There is an Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1, Section 3) that the person appointed be a practising Christian.
You may have experience of the following: International Development, Programmes & Partnerships Manager, Programme Manager, Programmes Manager, Partnership Manager, Partnerships Manager, Programme Management, Partnership Management, Project Manager, Project Management, Grant Management, Christian Charity, Charity, Charities, NFP, Not for Profit, INGO, NGO, Third Sector, etc.
