Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will be responsible for leading on the development of the plans that will ensure that we achieve the objectives that we set ourselves and that people expect of us. You will also ensure that our financial resources are utilised to best effect and in compliance with all our duties and obligations.

Direct experience of working within the commissioning market place for public funding might be helpful but it is not essential. Being able to quickly understand and being able to navigate the complexities of the funding landscape that we operate in will be a definite requirement.

Aside from the business planning and core management skills, including finance of course, the most essential quality you will need to be able to demonstrate is to share our commitment to work and develop Independent Lives as a user centred and user led organisation. There is an important difference between the two and you must be able to embody both of them.

The people we support do amazing things and our job is to support them to be able to do so.
