Family Support is an independent organisation providing services to the local authority, London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. Our independence allows us to be agile in the way we deliver our service and requires that our staff are agile and flexible. We are currently looking for a Communications Officer, to provide a first-class service, supporting our Managing Director in his endeavours to ensure all our stakeholders are aware of the work we are delivering.
The successful candidate will report to the Director of Finance and Service Support, with a matrix responsibility to the Managing Director.
You will be responsible for maintaining our digital service and proactively gaining positive exposure for Family Support across all stakeholders within and external to the Borough. Our policy of flexible and agile working will require you to work out of different Hammersmith and Fulham sites and provide the opportunity to work from home as dictated by the needs of the business. This role requires an individual who is proactive, who can work independently and as part of a team. You will come into contact with our community and our families and so the ability to communicate to and across a spectrum of individuals is very important.
Together we have an ambitious plan to deliver more responsive and impactful early intervention that works in partnership with other organisations, the community and families. We want to see life chances enhanced and over ten years the cost (both human and financial) of failure reduced. We need proactive staff who are up for a challenge, willing to take responsibility and who share and want to be a part of our vision.
