Our client is the only provider of expert charitable eye treatment for Palestinians in East Jerusalem, Gaza and the West Bank and sees many of the most complex eye cases from across the region. Battling high rates of poverty, the Charity believes in treating patients regardless of their race, religion or ability to pay. 

The Hospital operates in the occupied Palestinian territories, at the centre of the three Abrahamic religions. The ongoing conflict in the region has a severe impact on its ability to carry out its work. Working within the context of an unstable region, the Charity tirelessly strives to combat preventable blindness by providing easy access to eye care and eye health education.

With the recent appointment of the Charity’s new Chairman, Sir Andrew Cash, it is a truly exciting time to join this prestigious organisation and build on the success of the fundraising achievements to date.

The Director of Fundraising will lead the London Fundraising team and work closely with the Chairman and the Board of Trustees, the broader Hospital directorate, colleagues and senior volunteers to drive income generation for the Hospital Group. Exciting fundraising opportunities are currently in play with the imminent launch of a major appeal and a specific overseas expansion of the Charity’s traditional donor group.

This role offers an outstanding, experienced and cause-driven fundraiser a career-defining opportunity to build high-level philanthropy for our client. You will have exceptional leadership qualities and bring a warm, professional and diplomatic approach to relationship building with both internal stakeholders and prospective donors - on a global scale. There is scope for creativity and entrepreneurial thinking in order to shape the strategy and priorities for developing major gifts as a significant and sustainable income stream for the Charity.
