Play Worker
Our client is a national charity that supports those affected by imprisonment and their children and families.
Position: Play Worker
Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire (Commutable from Bletchley, Neport Pagnell and surrounding areas)
Job type: Part Time, Permanent
Hours: 3 to 9 hours per week working 3 hour shifts on Saturday & Sunday
Salary: £8.75 per hour
Benefits: Generous holiday entitlement, cycle to work scheme, eye care vouchers, free confidential advice and counselling service.

Interviews for this post will be held week commencing the: 26 November 2018.
About the role:
As a Play Worker at HMP Woodhill you will work alongside Her Majesty’s Prison Staff to deliver age appropriate and culturally sensitive play activities including outside activities to ensure that children feel comfortable, safe and secure while visiting their parent in prison.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrable experience of working with children of varying ages providing play activities. Providing a warm welcoming environment to ensure that children, families and prisoners are treated with respect, dignity and courtesy. You will also have a knowledge of safeguarding / child protection practice alongside a knowledge of data protection
This post is subject to a 6 month probationary period, verification of identity and proven right to work in the UK, satisfactory references from previous employers covering a 3 year period, declaration of any unspent criminal convictions (and where appropriate a satisfactory risk assessment), Prison Vetting and a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check. Please note that being bankrupt or having County Court Judgements may affect your ability to be successfully vetted to work in a prison.
