Job Details
Milton Keynes Community Foundation is passionate about Milton Keynes and supporting our vibrant and diverse Voluntary, Community and Cultural Sector to thrive. With our donors’ help, each year we award significant grant funding to support a wide range of projects that make a real difference to our community.
Milton Keynes was created with a commitment to inclusive growth and MK Community Foundation strongly supports this. We seek to encourage citizens from all our communities to join us to create a real sense of ownership. As such, there is huge potential for philanthropy to help meet the needs of those more vulnerable in our community who are not getting a fair share of the city’s success.
Director of Philanthropy and Deputy CEO
Milton Keynes
Salary Competitive
This year we adopted a new strategic plan, which restated our mission to support the growth and development of our sector, inspire philanthropy and take a lead in connecting and growing sustainable communities. To do this we have set ourselves ambitious targets, such as increasing our giving by 50% in the next five years; using our significant property portfolio to develop a new property and community land strategy; diversifying our funding options and attracting new regional, national and international funding.
We are recognised as leaders within our city and the Philanthropy Director & Deputy CEO will play a vital role in engaging in city-making through partnerships with key strategic public, private and philanthropic partners.
We are looking for an inspiring, engaging and credible senior leader with a track record in developing and maintaining significant donor relationships and high performing teams. You will bring good strategic and analytical skills coupled with the gravitas and credibility to represent the Foundation and the sector with a wide range of stakeholders and audiences. An understanding of philanthropy and grant making is desirable but not essential.
