Development Officer (Trusts)
Location: London SE1 0NZ
Salary: £30,457 - £32,628 FTE
Full time role (job share considered)

The position reports to the major donors and corporate development manager and will focus on developing and implementing fundraising strategies and programmes to maximise income, predominately from trusts & foundations.

This role would suit an ambitious trusts and foundations fundraising professional who thrives on collaborative working and a relationship focused approach. The ideal candidate will be able to achieve and exceed targets and have a desire to learn and develop their own skills. You will be working in a very capable and supportive team across the organisation to shape projects and persuasively communicate intentions to funders.

You will need to have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken. You must have a high level of attention to detail as well as an ability to see the broader picture in all situations.

We are CPRE, and we stand up for positive progress. We promote and encourage the improvement and protection of the English countryside and its towns and villages, and the better development of the rural environment. CPRE has no vested interests – we own no land, rely solely on donations and grants, and are politically independent. We want a beautiful and thriving countryside for everyone to enjoy – today and for generations to come. Change in our countryside is necessary, but for it to be positive it must meet the needs of both rural and urban communities.

This is a truly exceptional opportunity for a development officer to help secure funds from trusts for one of the country’s leading environmental charities.
