Are you a qualified Accountant with experience of QuickBooks?

We are looking for a part time Accountant to join the UK's largest educational research organisation. Our client is a member-led organisation, dedicated to supporting educational research and promoting high quality research in education.

Please note this role is a part time role for one day per week and only open to self-employed candidates.

Working within a small and friendly team, you will be responsible for ensuring that QuickBooks is up to date and accurately portrays the organisation's financial activity. Monthly activities will include: cooperating with data entry staff, agreeing month end bank balances with QuickBooks, reconciling all balance sheet accounts and updating the forecast for year end prediction. Other monthly duties will involve preparing actual v budget reports and maintaining a fixed asset schedule. You will also be required to calculate and submit VAT returns on a quarterly basis. In addition, annual duties will include: liaising with auditors to prepare year end schedules, preparing the annual budget with the Executive Director and completing ONS returns.

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you are a qualified Accountant with experience of QuickBooks, Excel, Word and VAT. A team player, you will have strong communication skills and a desire to support the charity sector.
