This is an exciting opportunity for a social care expert who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
Principal Officer – Social Care
Ref: 1820
London based, 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
£42,830 per annum
As a senior member of the social care team you will lead the ongoing development of our national social care reference group, operational delivery of current projects related to social care focusing on our national learning facilitation programme on the development of new multi-agency safeguarding arrangements and a range of projects related to the SEND reforms.
The role requires specialist knowledge of the social care system including some direct experience as a social worker alongside strong project management and budget monitoring skills, experience of managing staff/associates and excellent networking, communication, facilitation and training skills.
You will have the opportunity to convene, lead and provide support to networks hosted by the National Children’s Bureau (NCB) and the Council for Disabled Children (CDC) and work with colleagues and partners to influence social care policy and practice.
