Helpline Adviser (Dementia Charity)

Our client is the UK's leading dementia charity. They provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia. 

Position: Helpline Adviser (Weekday Service) 
Location: Crutched Friars, London, EC3N 2AE 
Contract type: Part Time, Permanent 
Hours: 28 per week 
Salary: £21,112 actual per annum 

Closing date: midnight on Thursday 25th October 
Interview date: TBC 

About the role: 

Their National Dementia Helpline responds to over 40,000 telephone, email, web chat, social media and letter enquiries every year, and demand is growing. Their Helpline Advisers provide information, advice and emotional support to people who contact the Helpline service. They are looking for another Helpline Adviser to join their team, working 2 days during the week and Sundays. 

About you: 

You will have direct experience and knowledge of working in a helpline service and an understanding of relevant social policy, welfare rights, health and social care issues that affect people living with dementia. 

You will have well developed written communication skills with substantial experience of responding to helpline emails and other written enquiries. 

Applicants must possess a degree and excellent written and spoken English skills. You will be self-motivated, able to work well under pressure and a good team player. Above all, you must have a real commitment to providing a high-quality information and support service to people affected by dementia.
