The Charity:

HDH provides symptom management, end-of-life care, respite, emotional and bereavement support across central southern England.  We are dedicated to the care and support of babies, children, teenagers and young adults and their families. We provide in-house care at our purpose-built facilities in Oxford, 24/7 and we support people in their own homes, their local community, and in hospitals.  We do this through our expert team of staff and volunteers, working closely with each individual, their family, and the wider team of professionals around them.

The Role:

We are looking for a high performing and experienced person from the charity retail sector to act as Retail Advisor to the Board of Trustees with the option to become an active Trustee as vacancies allow. We are field leaders in children’s palliative care and without a great Trustee Board we could not provide the level of care and support that we do.

Your role would include offering advice, assistance and support to the Director of Income Generation in the further development of our services to children, young adults and their families.

This very fulfilling role is unpaid and a time commitment of at least six days a year plus the requirement to attend other ad hoc meetings and events. Board Meetings currently take place bi-monthly in Oxford. Training and support will be provided.

For more information or an informal discussion please contact Clare Periton (CEO) on 01865 794749 or email cperiton@helenanddouglas.org.uk or our Trustee Chair by email chairman@helenanddouglas.org.uk

What Next?

If, after reading this as well as the key requirements from the Role Description, you think this sounds like you then please email a CV and Covering Letter to jobapplications@reach-ats.com.

The closing date for applications is 30th November 2018 and the interviews will be held on the w/c 10th December at the hospice.
