My Client one of the UKs leading homeless charities are currently on the lookout for an experianced Research Officer to join the team on a temporary basis.

The Research Officer will be responisble for:

* Conducting the Organisations Annual Review
* Supporting the Research Manager with the Ministry for Communities and Local Government research programme including research design
* Monitoring the Health Needs Audit


PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential
* Knowledge of designing and using quantitative and qualitative research and analysis methods/techniques including sampling, extracting, cleaning and analysing data, and conducting surveys
* Knowledge and experience in using data analysis software e.g. SPSS, Access, NVivo
* Ability to speedily identify, process and analyse complex data from a range of sources to provide high quality and accurate information
* Skills in building case studies and report writing

Desirable
* Experience of working in the field of social research or social policy

EXPERIENCE AND TRACK RECORD

Essential
* Wider project management skills, ideally gained within the non-profit/public sector
* Planning and conducting research projects, including data collection and analysis through to producing clear final products
* Ability to grasp new complex issues quickly
* Experience of analysing and interpreting complex written and numerical information
* Experience of using a range of methods to communicate research findings to influence a wide range of audiences.
* Production of a range of high quality written materials
* Planning and managing a workload with conflicting demands to ensure deadlines are met and tasks are completed
