This is a great role working in partnership with Bath College to provide and support employability opportunities on new construction developments.  

The organisation has been ranked in the top 50 in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Not-for-Profit Organisations to work for in the whole of the UK. They are one of the largest landlords in the South West, with a diverse portfolio of affordable and market rented homes.

You’ll provide outreach activities to engage local residents to access employment and training opportunities through publishing and promoting opportunities.

You’ll build effective relationships with local organisations to identify, develop and deliver training.  In addition, a key target will be to increase awareness and take up of apprenticeships, accredited work placements or employment for residents and local people on their sites whilst recording outcomes and reporting against KPI’s.

As you will be out and about visiting participants, employers and other organisations the ability to travel is essential. 

You’ll be enthusiastic and confident with strong influencing skills and a passion for helping people find work and training opportunities.

You’ll have a qualification related to giving advice, guidance and coaching and experience of developing, coaching and mentoring a wide range of people based on individual needs.  You will also be understanding, have knowledge of the barriers people face when looking for work, whilst being approachable and caring, with the ability to motivate people to achieve their goals. 

At the same time you will demonstrate resilience and the desire to work in an interesting environment where no day is ever the same!

You will be able to work flexibly, Monday to Friday, based on customer needs.  You will be responsible for organizing your own workload and setting your diary appointments.

You’ll be based in BANES and the surrounding areas, out and about in the community.  The ability to commute around BANES is important.
