TPP is proud to be recruiting for a leading homelessness charity for an Assistant Head of Philanthropy. The role is a 12-month maternity cover contract, paying £45k and based in Central London.

The charity is well established and began with a small group of volunteers who decided to do something to help homeless people. From its first hostel, in a former Marmite factory in Vauxhall, the charity has significantly grown and provides innovative services to help keep the homeless healthy, housed and hopeful. Over the years they have grown, predominantly from London and the South East to regionally across the country. Last year they raised over £10 million for the first time.

The role will involve leading a team of nine fundraisers (two of which you will line manage) to achieve an income target of £2.1m in 2018/19. You will also develop and oversee a Philanthropy strategy that promotes growth and stability in the Major Donor and Trusts & Grants programmes.

To be successful, you will have experience of managing a team in a multifaceted fundraising department and growing income from a variety of sources. You will also have experience of developing and implementing a fundraising strategy and leading people to achieve successful outcomes.
