We are working with a well-known membership organisation to recruit a Data Officer the successful candidate will act as a helpdesk for database queries and provide statistical data extracts.
Main duties for the Data Officer:
Maintain ongoing knowledge of the membership database, intranet, website and bulk emails
Understand how data is being transferred between those systems, identify problems and test implement changes
Ensure data is secure
Produce reports and analyse datasets
Provide helpdesk function to users
Essential criteria for the Data Officer:
Skilled in SQL databases and Access databases. Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and v-lookup functions.
Understanding of content/document management systems and metadata.
Writing/running data extracts from membership databases
Good knowledge of MS Office suite, with advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and v-lookup functions.
Identifying problems and producing clear bug reports for colleagues
Testing changes to systems - methodically testing different scenarios; recording outcomes and noting patterns
Experience of statistical reporting tools to produce reports on trends in membership data.
Knowledge of SQL is required. Basic underhtml would be an advantage
