Programme Funding Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading children's health charity which had an income of 23 million last year. The charity has an excellent reputation nationally and now they want to extend this internationally by bringing together previously separate brands.

The Role

The main purpose of the role is maximise growth from major trusts, foundations, lotteries and statutory sources. Therefore, you will lead on five to six figure applications to UK grant makers e.g. Big Lottery, DFID and possibly international bodies. Furthermore, you will work with staff across the charity to identify new opportunities for funding which will include developing strategic plans and partnerships. Finally, you will support the Programme Funding Executive in administrative/funding tasks.

Person Specification

You will have a proven track record of achieving five to six figure grants. In addition, you will have excellent writing skills with the ability to produce detailed reports. Furthermore, you will be a creative and strategic thinker with the ability to think laterally and find solutions to problems. Finally, you will possess sound interpersonal skills with the ability to build good relationships externally and internally.

Benefits

You will receive a salary of £27,851 to £32,540 depending on experience, 25 days holiday plus Christmas to New Year closure, 5.5% pension contribution, annual incremental pay rise plus cost of living increase in June. Flexibly working allowances might be considered once embedded in the role.
