Ashden is embarking on a new strategy this autumn, with a mission to help accelerate the transformation of energy systems so that everyone across the globe, irrespective of geography or status, has access to sustainable energy. We aim to be a global catalyst, using our extensive insights and knowledge of the sector from the ground up and our winners’ stories of success to inform and influence the influencers in policy, finance and business.  We want to scale up our impact so that we are influencing change at the local, national and global level and we will do this in two critically important areas - sustainable cities and energy for development. 

Our new CEO will be a mission-driven strategic leader with a background in the sustainability sector.

You will have experience of leading and motivating a team and developing strategic relationships at national and international level with key influencers, funders and decision makers to promote the charity's aims and key messages. You will be a visionary, a creative thinker and a problem solver, good at running and inspiring a dedicated team and an ambitious strategy that wants to punch above its weight. You will be adept in public engagement and advocacy, writing articles, giving interviews and having a presence on social media, to help raise the profile of Ashden, its mission and Award winners.
