Job Details
Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.
We are currently recruiting for a PA to join Unicef UK in a brand new role. You will provide proactive and effective support to three of the four directors that make up the Operations and Strategy Directorate: the Chief People Officer, Chief Finance Officer and the Chief Information Officer. Unicef UK’s Operations and Strategy Directorate enables the organisation to define and deliver the strategy and strategic plans so that we can have more impact for children.
As Personal Assistant, you will provide the full spectrum of administrative and secretarial support to the directors and you will have the opportunity to lead on a variety of projects.
This is busy, but varied and interesting, PA role including both one to one and team administration support, planning, coordinating and servicing meetings and events, financial administration and servicing meetings.
We are looking for an exceptionally organised and proactive PA. You will have experience providing support at senior management or director level and you will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing conflicting priorities and competing demands. The work you produce will be consistently high quality and you will have excellent attention to detail. You will excel at building professional and positive relationships both within Unicef UK and with external contacts and have the confidence to take decisions and deal with routine matters on behalf of the directors.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to making the world a better place for children.
Act now and visit www.unicef.org.uk/jobs to apply online.
We welcome applications from a diverse range of people, respecting and drawing on different perspectives, skills, experience and knowledge.
The successful candidate will be required to apply for a criminal records check. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.
We only accept online applications as this saves us money, making more funds available for us to help ensure children’s rights. CVs will not be accepted.
If you require support in completing the online form or an application form in an alternative format, please contact Supporter Care on 0300 330 5580 during office hours.
If you do not hear from us within 14 days of the closing date, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please note that we only provide feedback to shortlisted candidates.
