Company Secretary and Treasurer - Mountsorrel United Charities

Mountsorrel United Charities (charity no. 1027652) is recruiting for a Company Secretary and Treasurer. This combined role involves ensuring the administrative and financial affairs of the charities are conducted within legal requirements, accounting conventions and good practice.

Main responsibilities include facilitating board meetings, liaising with key stakeholders, and maintaining and developing the financial affairs of the charities.

Experience of financial accounting and reporting procedures, ideally within a charity context, is essential. As is experience of book-keeping, and facilitating and minuting meetings.

The United Charities have been caring for the people of Mountsorrel, in Leicestershire, since 1874, when several smaller charities were combined. The organisation is currently in an exciting period of development and long term planning, in order that we can help those in greatest need in the village.

The position will involve similar work for the Mountsorrel Church of England Fund (on a smaller scale, charity no. 1041743), managed and remunerated similarly but separately.

Location - home based, with 8+ evening board meetings per year in Mountsorrel

Contract - part time self employed, renewed annually
