Prospectus are proud to be partnering with a leading sheltered housing provider, striving to help homeless young people build firm foundations by facilitating their independence and integration into society. They are currently looking to appoint an experienced and dedicated Senior Support Worker to join one of their supported housing services based in Bromley.

The primary purpose of this role is to assist an identified caseload of service users to increase their life skills and become self-sufficient by providing individual and tailored support (such as debt management and benefits advice). Working as a Senior Support Worker you will also be responsible for coaching and mentoring staff in lower grade posts to support their professional development and ensure the best service delivery. You will also be involved in managing relationships with external partners to deliver joint support planning to customers.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience supporting vulnerable individuals with complex needs such as mental health, substance misuse or offending. You will also have a good understanding of the causes of homelessness and the unique challenges that service users face in everyday life. Finally, it is important that you have previously worked in partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies to deliver a holistic support service to customers.
