We are looking for a creative and enterprising Communication and Membership Officer to develop and deliver communication activity and coordinate membership at the Council for Disabled Children (hosted by the National Children’s Bureau).

Contract: Full-time - 35 hours per week, Fixed-term until 31 March 2020
Salary: £25,928 per annum

You will be working at the forefront of the disabled children’s sector to drive positive change and promote best practice for disabled children and young people and those with Special Educational Needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced individual who is passionate about what they do, enjoys working in a fast paced environment and is comfortable working both independently, and with other team members.

You will have a demonstrable track record of delivering communications activity across digital channels as well as strong interpersonal skills to engage and develop stakeholder relationships. With a creative flair and an eye for detail you will be confident in developing content and sharing information to a wide variety of audiences. Excellent IT skills are essential including experience working with Mailchimp, web content management systems and design software such as InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop.
