Are you a fully qualified finance professional? Are you passionate about working towards a fairer society?

Prospectus is delighted to be partnering with Publish What You Pay, an international charity that advocates for financial transparency in the extractive industry. They are united in their call for an open and accountable extractive sector so that oil, gas and mining revenues improve the lives of women, men and youth in resource-rich countries.

The Finance Manager is responsible for ensuring that PWYP's finances are managed according to PWYP policies, donor requirements and best practice in accounting/financial management. You will manage all of the day-to-day financial processes of the organisation and contribute significantly to the development of the organisation's financial reporting, annual budgets, and financial management and control. In addition, the Finance Manager is responsible for the preparation of the annual statutory accounts, including application of relevant standards and liaison with the auditors. The Finance Manager provides direct support to non-financial team members, supporting budget holders to understand and manage their budgets effectively, liaising with them regularly to ensure accurate coding, reviewing absorption of funds and giving guidance where needed. In addition, the Finance Manager contributes to the provision of capacity building support to member organisations, including participating in capacity/due diligence assessments and provision of subsequent support.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Accountant with demonstrable experience within a similar role. You will be comfortable with all day-to-day processes and have a good understanding of how technology can help benefit processes and systems. You will be an integral part of the small team and be key to the organisation's capacity building. You will be a thoughtful individual with fantastic attention to detail. Sound knowledge of charity SORP is also desired.

Please Note: Publish What You Pay will consider candidates on a 4 or 5 day a week basis. (Pro-Rata if 4 days)

Please apply with a WORD format of CV and appropriate candidates will be contacted directly with further details.
