Position: Job Coach – Project SEARCH
Location: Burnley, Lancashire
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £17,069 pa rising to £17,264 pa after successful completion of probation

About the role:
Our client is looking to appoint the following key post within their occupation and employment provision for adults with a learning disability.
The Job Coach role is central to the delivery of high-quality services and promoting their reputation. The job requires an individual with drive, enthusiasm and commitment. Someone with a ‘Can Do’ attitude who has the ability to look for creative solutions to meet people’s support needs in a way that respects their individuality and works with the Operations Manager.
Project SEARCH is an initiative aimed at people with learning disabilities aged 18 -25 to develop skills for the work place and be supported in their search for employment. The goal is to provide three on-site work placements for young people with learning disabilities, leading to gaining the skills necessary for employment. Project SEARCH is partnership between Burnley College, our client (the charity which delivers adult disability services), Lancashire County Council and DWP.
About you:
The successful candidate will have English and Maths at GCSE level 5 or equivalent and a good knowledge of learning disabilities. You will have the ability to monitor and review using appropriate methods and will be able to approach training tasks from a variety of ways - to suit both the person supported and to meet the conditions of the job specification laid down by the employer.
Additionally, you will have record keeping skills, to keep up to date records for assessment purposes. You will also have good communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels and good administration and computer skills.
As a Job Coach on Project SEARCH, you will need to be open to flexible working which may involve some occasional evening and weekend work.
You may have experience of the following: Job Coach, Employment Coordinator, Employment Coach, Employment Advisor, Service Coordinator, Careers Coach, Careers Advisor, Project Coordinator, Project Management, etc.
