The Society Fundraiser supports the mission of the Medical Mission Sisters by securing broad international support for this Roman Catholic community’s ministries.

We commit ourselves to a life and mission of healing in areas of need throughout the world. Our 500 Canonical members and 100 Associate members are engaged in this special healing mission in 18 nations on five continents. Working side-by-side with local organizations, dioceses, and governments…in health centers, clinics, parishes and neighborhoods…we try to help those who have been made poor, are isolated or oppressed to experience what it means to be a special person created and loved by God. We try to be present to life in the spirit of Jesus the Heater to all who suffer injustice in their lives.

You will develop the fundraising department using various fundraising approaches, and provide assistance for local fundraising efforts of sisters around the world. Building relationships with donors and reporting on use of funds are significant elements. The Fundraiser will collaborate with the Society’s leadership team to address financial needs of the Society, research and identify international resources and develop fundraising avenues to enlist financial support. S/he will coordinate fundraising efforts with other Society fundraisers, collaborate with public relations personnel, and ensure compliance with charitable fundraising and data protection laws and requirements. Broad knowledge of and success in fundraising, sensitivity to cultural differences, awareness of fundraising for international projects, and being comfortable with the challenges of beginning a new organizational venture are key requirements.

Your personal initiative, creativity, leadership and ability to work collaboratively are crucial.

Successful applicants will be invited for an interview
