Specialist Advisor (Employment Law / Policy) 

Our client is the voice of British farming, and their members are at the heart of what they do. On their behalf they lobby government and other stakeholders, develop policy and provide a range of frontline services. 

Position: Specialist Adviser 
Location: Stoneleigh, Warwickshire (Commutable from Coventry, Royal Leamington Spa, Rugby, Solihull, Nuneaton and surrounding areas) 
Job type: Full Time, Permanent 
Salary: £33,428 circa per annum

About the role: 

Are you a conscientious individual who enjoys working as part of a team? Are you the type of person who has a ‘can do’ attitude and gets on well with people? You will have at least 2 years experience of providing employment advice plus the ability to provide advice on other legal areas such as contracts, environmental law, planning or land law, with additional training provided as required. 

As a Specialist Adviser, you will provide high quality legal, technical or policy related advice in response to member queries via the telephone. You will need to be able to use your initiative to confidently address problems, offering effective and appropriate solutions and advice. You will need to be an imaginative problem solver, possess excellent organisational skills and be good with detail. 

About you: 

You will possess a high standard of written and verbal communication skills, to enable you to communicate technical and complex information to our members and stakeholders. 

You will also be involved with developing articles for our publications, reviewing legal documents and confirming advice in writing when required. You will therefore need to have a flexible and adaptable communication style, an excellent telephone manner and experience providing best in class customer service. 

Unfortunately, our client is unable to take applications from qualified solicitors for these vacancies. The role may suit an associate or higher-level member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, although this is not essential.
