Job Details

A great opportunity has arisen for a temporary Fundraiser for a children related charity in order to support the Fundraising Manager Legacy and Tribute in growing the legacy pipeline in line with the marketing and business plans. This will be a temporary 3 months contract based in London.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Support the Fundraising Manager Legacy and Tribute in managing the legacy proposition and in memory activity, ensuring it delivers against agreed targets
Support the Fundraising Manager Legacy and Tribute in using an audience- led approach, including audience segmentation and targeting models, to identify new products and propositions to support legacy and in memory fundraising campaigns
Support the Fundraising Manager Legacy and Tribute, and taking the lead on some projects, to bring new products to market, working with marketing delivery teams, and providing performance analysis and recommendations
To maximise income by sharing knowledge, specialist expertise and experience of a specialist fundraising area with others in order to add value to cross-market fundraising activities
To analyse and present research findings in a written or verbal format, including preparing briefing notes, campaign reports, summarising papers and publications and making recommendations to contribute to the agreed departmental strategy goals and standards, ensuring that work is of a high standard in line with corporate requirements.
To be a key contact for agencies and other suppliers who support fundraising, ensuring appropriate agreements are in place and that goods/services are delivered as agreed.
To undertake specific fundraising projects and activities as necessary or as required to support the department s fundraising.


In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:

Highly developed written communication skills to understand, interpret and present complex information in a clear and persuasive way for a range of audiences
Highly developed ability to verbally present information, including fundraising ideas, pitches and project updates to a range of audiences in a clear, inspiring and confident way to achieve desired outcomes
Ability to collect data from various sources, analyse findings, identify opportunities, evaluate their viability and present findings clearly in a way that meets desired outcomes.

Well-developed ability to build, manage and develop relationships with individuals within an organisation and externally and achieve objectives through these relationships
Well-developed ability to successfully negotiate with others to achieve desired outcomes
The ability to plan, monitor and implement projects/events/initiatives to agreed deadlines often with conflicting priorities
Well-developed ability to work with and through other teams and departments to maximise results for an organisation
Proven ability to demonstrate initiative and creativity to achieve desired outcomes
An ability to organise and plan own work, identifying conflicting demands and establishing clear priorities in order to meet agreed objectives
Well-developed ability to apply effective numeracy skills in entering and recording financial data, interpreting, analysing and presenting financial data in clear and accurate format to meet desired outcomes
Experience of success in a fundraising role is essential and experience specifically in legacy and/or in memory fundraising is highly desirable
Experience of success in delivering results as set out in a team or departmental plan
Experience in using Windows based software packages including word processing, spreadsheets, electronic mail and the internet, in order to deliver tasks and projects
