Our client is a dynamic charity with proven impact. For over 30 years it has been working with children and young people struggling to stay in school due to a wide range of complex family issues. They get children and young people back into school ready to learn, whatever it takes.

Through a mixture of growth and staff turnover they now require the following post across two schools:

Role 1:
School-Home Support Practitioner
Based: 3 days a week, term time only @ a School in Dagenham

Based: 2 days a week, term time only @ a School in Havering
Starting salary: £20,574 per annum

This is a varied role and the post-holder will be based within two settings, a PRU and a primary school. The post-holder will be based within this secondary school and work in close partnership with school staff to deliver a programme of casework and other activities to promote educational outcomes for disadvantaged children and families. The post-holder will need to be persistent, resilient and tenacious along with having the experience of working with hard to engage parents.

This is an exciting opportunity and successful candidates will have good experience of working effectively with social and emotional factors affecting a child’s capacity to learn, strong abilities in engaging challenging children and their families, and a confident ability to form professional partnerships with children and their families along with experience of transition work

The post holder will work alongside key school staff in school to promote excellent attendance, reduce levels of absence and work with children and families to promote high levels of attendance and punctuality.

Role 2:
School-Home Support Practitioner
Based: A school in Thurrock

Full-time Role, 5 days per week (Term time only)
Salary from: £22,901 pa depending on experience

This is based at a unique facility in Thurrock, providing a broad curriculum to a diverse group of young people and children who have experienced difficulty in learning for a variety of reasons. They offer support to students in mainstream schools who are experiencing difficulties and are at risk of exclusion.

With a focus on improving behaviour, attendance, and engagement in learning, your role will require you to deliver a programme of casework to promote educational outcomes, positive behaviour and supporting parents in their homes.

This is an exciting role and the successful candidate will have good experience of working effectively with social and emotional factors affecting a child's capacity to learn, strong abilities in engaging challenging children and their parents, and a confident ability to form professional partnerships within the setting and with other agencies.
