Marketing Manager- within fundraising team

Working for a fantastic health charity, we are looking for a strong marketer with a real focus on acquisition, ROI and innovative ideas. Digital marketing and social media experience is key to the success of the position to help drive increased conversions and engagement and to drive research.

The purpose of the role is to work with the Community & Events team to recruit and convert the best possible supporters to help us maximise net income and enable the charity to deliver its forward-thinking vision.

Key responsibilities:

- To lead on the planning of all major Challenge Events marketing campaigns, to meet or exceed participant recruitment targets whilst working within budgets.
- To lead on the planning of all Community marketing campaigns, including fundraising opportunities within clubs and societies, local corporates, groups, in memory, tribute funds and in celebration, to meet or exceed participant recruitment targets whilst working within budgets.
- To manage the relationship with our social media marketing agency.
- To work with the digital and fundraising team to put in place analysis of all marketing activities and produce reports demonstrating results and key learnings, then embedding understanding of what this means for the programme within the team.

In order to apply for this role you will have the following experience;

- A good knowledge of marketing and experience in digital social media marketing, engagement and Community and Challenge Events fundraising
- Demonstrable experience of creating, monitoring, optimising and evaluating user experience and marketing plans.
- A working knowledge of the current Community and Events fundraising marketing environment; how to reach, engage and develop community and events audiences to increase net income and conversion rates.
- Excellent technical knowledge of what works in the current Challenge Events through email marketing, ad words, display ad social to increase conversions.
- Experience of project management and delivery
- Ability to manage and build budgets
- Knowledge of/understanding of conversion best practice and relationship fundraising approach

Previous fundraising experience is not needed, this is a marketing role.
