Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. We provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia. 

Position: Memory Walk Coordinator 
Location: Flexible across England, Wales and Northern Ireland 
Contract type: Full time, Permanent 
Hours: 35 per week 
Salary: £22,131, £23,239 or £26,390 actual per annum (depending on location) 

Closing date: 11.59pm on Monday 1 October 
Interview date: Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th October 
About the role: 

We are looking to recruit a Coordinator to work as part of the Mass Participation fundraising team, specifically working on Memory Walk, the Alzheimer’s Society’s flagship mass participation fundraising event, which continues to grow year on year. 

Memory Walk is a series of sponsored walks, with an income target of £9m and a participation target of 110,000 this year. Memory Walk is a sector leading event and is one of the top five mass participation charity events in the UK. 

This role will be delivering key aspects of the Memory Walk campaign, with a specific focus on supporter care, developing fundraising channels, relationship management and ensuring the best experience for our walkers. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a dynamic and successful team and help grow our flagship mass participation event. 

About you: 

We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, creative and highly organised to support key aspects of the campaign. You’ll be experienced in event management, alongside providing excellent customer care and relationship management. You will be a fantastic communicator, with great attention to detail. We’re also looking for someone who is driven and passionate and will work to maximise our income to increase the impact we have on the lives of people affected by dementia.
