Position: Dementia Support Worker 
Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire 
Contract type: Part time, Permanent 
Hours: 21 per week 
Salary: £12,207 actual per annum 

Closing date: 5pm on Monday 1st October.

About the role: 

This is an exciting opportunity working within our team as a Dementia Support Worker. You will have the rewarding opportunity to provide information and guidance to people living with dementia and their carers primarily in the Fenland and Huntingdonshire Area. Your role will help to maintain their independence, improve their sense of well-being, and empower them in their daily lives. 

You will offer support and guidance in a variety of ways: face to face, by phone, letter or email. Part of this role also involves working on the Cambridgeshire Single Point of Access speaking to members of the public, Health and Social Care Staff and other Professionals taking referrals and providing information. 

Travel is required throughout Cambridgeshire for this role; therefore, applicants should be able to travel independently.

You will be speaking to people at all levels across your area so great networking and influencing skills are also essential. You must have the ability to manage several tasks at once and keep yourself motivated to perform under pressure. 

This role involves regular use of IT packages therefore a good standard of IT would be desirable.
