Job Details

Are you an experienced Grants Programme Coordinator with a keen interest in supporting local communities to achieve brilliant things in their areas?

We are delighted to work in partnership with Local Trust, an organisation committed to enabling and inspiring people to lead change within their communities.

Local Trust are now into the sixth year of delivering Big Local, a Big Lottery-funded programme that awarded over £1million each to 150Â communities across England that had historically 'missed out' on lottery and other funding. Big Local is one of the most radical and exciting grant programmes ever launched by a major Lottery funder pioneering resident-led, place-based funding on a scale never before seen in the UK.

Local Trust are now recruiting a Senior Programme Coordinator, who will be responsible for delivering, managing and monitoring the Big Local Programme, playing a crucial role in its successful delivery.

Reporting to the Head of Programme Delivery, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring programme funding and activities, working directly with grantees and other key stakeholders. You will carry out quality assurance, reviewing assessments of funding proposals as well as monitoring budgets, and spend reporting of partnerships through grants and social investments. In addition, you will be required to maintain appropriate administration and reporting systems, processes and procedures ensuring the smooth running of Local Trust's programmes including their bespoke grant management systems. You will also have the opportunity to review and analyse a range of programme information, identifying areas of risk, support needs or opportunities, and work across the organisation to improve the way they work.

To be considered for this role it is essential to have significant experience of delivering and managing complex community funding programmes including grants and contracts. The successful candidate will come with experience of working with partnerships at a local, regional or national level. You will have proven experience in financial planning and monitoring, with experience of carrying out assessments on funding proposals.
The ideal candidate will have a strong awareness of the needs of residents, grantees and stakeholders accompanied with excellent written and verbal communications skills. You must also have the ability to prepare, monitor and review budgets and work plans including analysing and interpreting complex financial information.
Interviews are taking place on Wednesday 26th September.

A full job description will be provided to candidates short-listed by Prospectus.

Please apply with a Word Document copy of your CV. Cover letters are not required at this stage.
