Soccer Aid Producer
Full or part-time, 21-35 hours per week
Circa £36,000 pro rata per annum
Fixed-term – 8 months
Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.
Soccer Aid for Unicef brings together two teams of celebrities and football legends for the biggest celebrity charity football match in the calendar, broadcast live on ITV. Since its inception in 2006, Soccer Aid for Unicef has raised in excess of £30 million to provide millions of children around the world with life-saving food, vaccines, clean water and protection from violence. The television broadcast opportunities are a key element for fundraising. The films and associated programming feature Unicef’s international work for children and encourage the public to donate with a targeted call to action.
As Soccer Aid Producer, you will coordinate research for appeals and other documentary content, setting up a robust system and space for information to be shared. You will work with internal Unicef teams and country offices across the world, to gather information on stories, cast individuals, and set up filming and you will be the point of contact for production and broadcast partners, maintaining excellent working relationships across the project.
In this role, you will be exposed to senior leaders and stakeholders both within Unicef and externally, so the ability to develop and nurture credible relationships with senior stakeholders will be key to your success. We are looking for experience of television production, as well as the ability to manage research for a television production and a good knowledge of the production process for delivering filmed content.
This role offers a genuine opportunity to make a difference to the lives of millions of children around the world.
Act now and visit www.unicef.org.uk/jobs to apply online.
Closing date: 5pm, Thursday 11 October 2018.
Interview date: Wednesday 24 October 2018.
We welcome applications from a diverse range of people, respecting and drawing on different perspectives, skills, experience and knowledge.
The successful candidate will be required to apply for a criminal records check. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.
We only accept online applications as this saves us money, making more funds available for us to help ensure children’s rights.
If you require support in completing the online form or an application form in an alternative format, please contact Supporter Care on 0300 330 5580 during office hours.
If you do not hear from us within 14 days of the closing date, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please note that we only provide feedback to shortlisted candidates.
